PT980 Architectural Specifications
The loudspeaker system shall be 3-way actively driven between the low frequency and the mid/high sections. A passive crossover shall be used between the mid/high frequency sections. The loudspeaker shall only be operated by a dedicated, compatible controller amplifier.
The loudspeaker shall produce a cylindrical wave segment suitable for use as an element in a line array and maintain an extremely accurate horizontal dispersion pattern down to very low frequencies (80°>250 Hz). The loudspeaker has a design that exhibits extremely low power compression and for this reason shall utilize the rear rigging elements as a heat sink for the mid range driver. The loudspeaker shall consist of two 15" LF neodymium drivers in a vented enclosure, one horn loaded 10" mid range driver and three coaxially mounted 1.4" exit compression drivers with 3" voice coils coupled to a wave shaping device.
The enclosure shall be constructed from marine plywood with an impact resistant and weather protecting PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The cabinet front shall be protected by a perforated steel grill backed with acoustic foam. The cabinet shall incorporate a three point rigging system for the assembly of vertical line source arrays of up to 24 cabinets in conjunction with a dedicated flying frame.

FAQ
What rigging configuration is required for PT980 when flown in an array?
PT980 employs a dedicated three-point rigging system allowing vertical stacking in a flown line-array configuration. For safe deployment, each cabinet should be secured using the manufacturer-specified flying frame and load distributed evenly—exceptionally critical when integrating with other full-range or subwoofer elements.
What warranty and post-sale support does Zy-Export offer for this module?
The purchase includes warranty coverage for manufacturing defects within the defined service period. Technical support encompasses guidance for setup, rigging, amplifier matching and configuration when used alongside subwoofer or full-range modules sourced from the same musikanlagen hersteller.
Is the PT980 compatible with standard amplifiers and subwoofer enclosures?
Yes. As a passive line-array module, it requires external amplification and is compatible with common pro-audio power amplifiers. When combined with a subwoofer speaker or 15 inch subwoofer box, the system can deliver full-range performance across venues requiring extended low-frequency support.
What is the lead time for bulk orders through wholesale channels?
In-stock units follow standard dispatch protocols. Large orders or project-scale requests require coordination of warehouse allocation and logistics planning. Clients sourcing wholesale audio equipment are advised to confirm availability and shipment schedules early to ensure timely delivery.
Does the PT980 subwoofer module or system retain or process user data?
No. The PT980 is a passive speaker system without any digital processing or data storage functions. All audio processing and signal management occur externally, ensuring no user data is recorded or transmitted through the cabinet itself.
